Everyday interesting.

Little stuff that made my day. Saved. Daily-ish.

Grocery Store Musical without branding. Nice.

So much nicer without an overt brand message.

Cultural philanthropy meets the youtube generation. These happenings can become mass if they're any good and brands can get involved in the way they might with the traditional arts (eg. in the background), but benefit from mass reach. An admirable way for brands to win friends and influence people don't you think?

The Unicef Tap Project from Droga5. This is what a massive idea looks like. Genius.

I had forgotten just how simple and, consequently, how scalable this idea is. It is a great example of an idea that really inspires and a benchmark for all involving, viral ideas.

Watching it again brought tears to my eyes. But when I went to see how I could get involved in the UK, contrary to the video's proclamations, there was no UK link, no site of something like that on google and no buzz. I wonder what went wrong.

Olympics? More Like Olymp-sh*ts - Londonist

Rotate the new Olympics inspired 50p coin 180 degrees and enjoy a puerile image of defecation. The nine year old artist's secret message about Wolf Olins' logo design or an adult's juvenile take on a well-meaning initiative? Probably the latter.

Frankfurt Motorshow Concept Cars from PSFK

Fun and random.

I always think it's weird for motor companies to share with the world their fantasies and passion-filled ideas. The result that hits the road is always a research bludgeoned pale imitator of its former self.

It's like brands sharing the initial concepts for ads or products before they launch them and inviting us to compare and contrast just how dull the final incarnation tends to be.

Having one's nose rubbed in it just makes one a little sadder every time. If only they'd make some of these wonderful concepts straight from the motor show.

The fun theory - a nice nudge-esque idea from VW

I think this is great. Simple games that entertain people but also make a social point.

Why has a brand done this rather than a council?

Cisco : The Future of Shopping

Strange similarities to the 'future of mobile' circulating about ten years ago. Funny, as glue turns ten, we see similar prophecies as ten years ago but replaced with another area of tech convergence.

Above, Cisco are playing with virtualness to an exciting new level. And with tens of billions in the bank, I think they're in a good place to make it happen. Unlike, for example, Vivendi's promises ten years ago!
